Cwmbran, 21st March 2016; SIPHON Networks Ltd (SIPHON), a leading Unified Communications (UC) Solutions Provider, announced today that it has added Microsoft Health Checks to its service offering for Microsoft Partners.
In order to maximise the success of a new UC solution, organisations are realising the importance of thoroughly preparing for and understanding the impact that any platform changes could have on the day-to-day work environment of their end-users.
To de-risk the roll-out of Microsoft Enterprise Voice, SIPHON is offering a 3-day Health Check of existing Microsoft Lync or Skype for Business (SfB) deployments. The Health Check has been designed to highlight any inefficiencies or issues in a deployment, as well as flagging any potential blockers to long term goals that may occur during upgrades or migrations.
Commenting on the Health Check service offering, Ciaran Bolger, sales director at SIPHON said; “As a channel focussed UC enabler, we’ve had an increasing number of partners ask us for assistance with existing Lync or Skype for Business deployments. Sometimes, the partner is looking for some guidance on using Microsoft best practices to improve the user experience or isolate what is causing issues for their customers. In other cases, where a partner has taken over platforms that were poorly deployed and managed, they simply want help bringing the solution back into service as the powerful UC asset it was intended to be.”
Bolger continued, “We recognise that it’s mainly early adopters who have realised the shortcomings of their existing deployment, so our Microsoft UC Health Checks have been developed to quickly and efficiently give organisations, who are either using Lync or wish to deploy Skype for Business, a detailed overview of what needs to change to make their environment Lync or SfB-ready.”
Giuseppe Fragale, head of the Microsoft UC Technologies and Services at SIPHON added; “A UC system is made up from hardware, software, network connectivity and third party services. All these elements must work seamlessly together to deliver the overriding business objective that the system was put in place to achieve. In such complex environments, organisations need to safeguard the health of their platform to ensure that it’s aligned with the latest Lync and Skype for Business best practices. The Health Check offering from SIPHON empowers them to do that.”
