Steve Harris – CEO, Nuvias UC
Steve has over 25 years’ experience in the Communications industry and is a co-founder of SIPHON Networks Ltd, now Nuvias UC, focusing on the overall strategy, growth and direction of the company.
Prior to setting up SIPHON, Steve held various Regional VP EMEA roles at VC funded technology companies such as NexTone (acquired by Genband) and Covergence (acquired by Acme Packet). Steve’s experience also comprises of spending over 8 years at Nortel and being a founding staff member at Huawei UK.
Rob Smith – COO, Nuvias UC
Rob was co-founder of SIPHON Networks Ltd, now Nuvias UC, and is COO having held the position of Technical Director for over 10 years. Rob manages all technology, operational and customer service functions within the UC practice, working closely with key customer and vendor partners across EMEA.
Rob has over 25 years’ experience in the Telecommunications industry, and prior to setting up SIPHON Networks held various senior technical roles at Covergence (acquired by Acme Packet) and NexTone (acquired by Genband). Prior to that Rob worked in various technology companies including Ubiquity Software, Newbridge Networks and West End Networks.
Andy McCarthy – CCO, Nuvias UC
Andy McCarthy has recently joined Nuvias UC as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and is onboard to lead both the sales and commercial teams across the UK and European territories, ensuring we continue to drive growth for our vendors and customers enabling them to lead in the world of UC.
Prior to joining Nuvias UC, Andy has held successful positions with both Vendor and Distribution (most recently Exertis) over the last 25 years and brings a wealth of experience in this area to support our growth plans for the future.
Cath Wright – Finance Director
Cath has played a crucial part in the business since she joined in 2015 and has a varied role which spans across managing the entire finance function and HR. Cath’s responsibilities encompass the overall financial management, resourcing and talent management for the UC practice across UK & Europe.
Cath has been a strong finance professional since 2002 and prior to joining Nuvias UC, Cath worked as a Management Accountant for a Food & Beverage Manufacturer.
Aled Teharne – Director of Innovation & Development
Aled has been a part of Nuvias UC, formerly SIPHON Networks, since the early days, and is now the Director of Innovation & Development within the Nuvias Unified Communications practice. Aled is a founding member of the Nuvias UC Technical team and now focuses on innovation and emerging technologies to help drive the business and ensure it remains a thought leader by its customers and staff.
With over 15 years spent working in service providers ranging from small ISPs to Carriers like BT and KCOM, Aled has extensive experience in Hosted UC and installed one of the first Broadsoft hosted telephony platforms in Europe.
Maryam Arbabi – Alliances & Marketing Director
Maryam (Maz) is the Nuvias UC practice Alliances and Marketing Director for EMEA and her role is to work with all our stakeholders to create, implement and execute key strategic initiatives that drive growth and innovation across key vendors and marketing channels.
Maryam comes from a very strong sales, channel and commercial background, working in the UC industry for over 10 years.
Jason Lawrence – Performance Director
Jason comes with over 20 years’ experience in managing Operational teams, including customer service, support, development, project management and service management teams.
Most recently this was for a Networking & Security Reseller, DXC, where Jason headed up Operations for Data Integration. Prior to this, Jason spent several years working for Logicalis and going back further, Jason spent 15 years at a vendor operating in the UC space, providing ACD, Operator Console and Call Recording software to medium to large enterprise.
James Elwart – Business Operations Director
James joined Nuvias UC as the Business Operations Director, owning the full supply chain. He has three teams covering Vendor Management and Procurement, Sales Operations and Customer Services, all working seamlessly together to ensure that customer expectations are exceeded.
James Elwart is a highly experienced manager within the IT distribution industry. Prior to 18 years of management in distribution, James worked for IBMUK for 6 years before he jumped into the fast paced world of distribution, he now considers his calling.
Harpreet Grewal – Business Intelligence Director
Harpreet has been with Nuvias UC since it acquired VCOMM back in 2012 and has worked in multiple roles within the company since then. With a demonstrated experience within a UC distribution role, Harpreet has been responsible for sales enablement, commercial planning, supply chain and pricing and most recently warehouse operations.
Harpreet now is responsible for business intelligence within the UC practice which has been introduced to help deliver meaningful data, actionable insights and analytics to drive both business alignment and improve business efficiencies.
Ed House – Sales Director UK&I,
Ed is one of the UK Sales Directors within the Nuvias Unified Communications practice and leads all sales activity across our UC distribution business, heading up the UK Key Accounts team.
Ed has been with Nuvias UC since 2016 and has a very strong sales background within channel and solution selling. Prior to joining Nuvias UC, Ed managed the top performing sales teams for various products within distribution. He brings a wealth of experience across a range of collaborative solutions including video conferencing, telephony, managed services and audio-visual technologies.
Chris Clements – Sales Director UK&I, Service Provider
Since joining Nuvias UC in 2016, Chris has managed several roles within the organisation, and is now Sales Director of the ITSP division. He is testament to the businesses commitments to staff helping them realise their ambitions. His background as a business owner have helped him drive double digit year on year growth within the ITSP channel and his support of our customers has been instrumental in achieving our customer retention goals.
Chris Cooper – Sales Director UK&I
Chris is one of the UK Sales Directors within the Nuvias Unified Communications practice and is responsible for managing the key customers within our ITSP and Service Provider team.
Chris has been with Nuvias UC since 2014 and joined armed with experience from his time spent at several large Service Providers and HIPCOM (prior to its acquisition by Broadsoft) where he was responsible for channel sales.
Joshua Scott– Sales Director UK&I, New Business
Joshua is one of the UK Sales Leadership team within the Nuvias Unified Communications practice, and is responsible for the Major Accounts and Growth Team, primarily focused on developing growth initiatives centred on unique solutions and services to our partners.
Joshua has a wealth of sales experience within distribution and initially joined Nuvias as a Vendor Manager, responsible for building and driving strategic initiatives across the UK and EMEA, before transitioning into his current UK Sales role.
Alex Whitford – Sales Director UK&I, Business Development
Alex has been within the industry for many years and has extensive experience with driving growth through Microsoft, Cloud and UC solutions. Since joining Nuvias UC in January 2018, Alex has led sales strategies across UK and EMEA in various sales and vendor management roles.
Alex now heads up the new business team for the Nuvias Unified Communications practice and is responsible for driving significant and profitable growth through rapid account acquisition and new revenue streams.
